Radiant Imaging introduces inspection system for full-color OLED production
JUNE 9--The Radiant Imaging (www.radiantimaging.com) new PM-OLED is a complete turnkey solution for test and inspection of full-color OLED displays in on-line production, off-line production, and even R&D environments. PM-OLED consists of a 14-bit CCD camera-based imaging photometer and colorimeter, coupled with proprietary data acquisition and image-processing software. Depending upon the choice of camera optics, this enables rapid, high precision measurement of OLED luminance and chromaticity across an entire substrate, over a single display, or even for an individual pixel. The system can also automatically identify row and column defects, Mura defects, and both pixel and sub-pixel defects.
PM-OLED is intended to supplement or replace human visual inspection in production settings. It can readily be configured to control OLED power supply switching for automated measurement of display luminance and color characteristics. PM-OLED then automatically provides the operator with either detailed information, or just simple pass/fail indications based on preprogrammed target values for luminance and color. The same level of automated convenience is available for testing based on defect detection. For development purposes, options for measuring luminance, color and pixel dimensions as a function of time can be added.
