With worldwide manufacturing and distribution in Asia, Europe, and North America, the new company is positioned to take a leadership position, supplying lasers, optical components, and optomechanical assemblies. This acquisition enables CVI Melles Griot to bring design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of photonic products and optical systems together under one roof. Vertical integration of these capabilities improves quality, performance, and service to CVI Melles Griot customers. Additionally, adding the Melles Griot laser products to the CVI portfolio enables the company to supply highly integrated optical systems and subsystems to its customers through a strong manufacturing platform.
