Clemex strengthens position in pharmaceutical market

MAY 31--Clemex Technologies Inc. (Montreal, Canada; www.clemex.com) has announced the sale of three imaging systems in the pharmaceutical market, representing total gross proceeds of approximately C$200,000.

MAY 31--Clemex Technologies Inc. (Montreal, Canada; www.clemex.com) has announced the sale of three imaging systems in the pharmaceutical market, representing total gross proceeds of approximately C$200,000. Of the systems purchased, one was acquired by Pfizer for Bend Research (Bend, OR), which represents its third system purchase, and two were purchased by GlaxoSmithKline (King of Prussia, PA). Both firms intend to use the automated image-analysis systems for drug research.

Clemex Technologies develops, manufactures, and markets image-analysis systems and software used by quality-control and research microscopy laboratories. The company is also involved in the distribution of equipment and consumables for specimen preparation of solid metals and materials. It is exclusive representative in Canada for the Struers product line.
