LP-Stack Memory to be used in 3-D x-ray medical imaging

DECEMBER 21--DPAC Technologies Corp. (Garden Grove, CA; www.DPACtech.com), a provider of products and services for integration, has received follow-on orders for its patented LP-Stack stackable memory products for use mainly in medical instrumentation.

DECEMBER 21--DPAC Technologies Corp. (Garden Grove, CA; www.DPACtech.com), a provider of products and services for integration, has received follow-on orders for its patented LP-Stack stackable memory products for use mainly in medical instrumentation. While the approximate order size was not disclosed, the company indicated that the current run rate for this customer is approximately $500,000 per year. The customer will use the LP-Stack memory device, high-definition x-ray equipment that can produce a three-dimensional image with real-time applications.

"Our goal has been to expand our technology beyond the workstation and server market," commented Ted Bruce, DPAC president and CEO. "The excitement behind this application is that three-dimensional imaging can be achieved on a real-time basis. While this has very relevant implications for the medical field, this technology also has potential expansion to security applications.
