A new free-to-attend webcast from Vision Systems Design will show how machine-vision systems are being developed and deployed to inspect pharmaceutical products and medical devices.

In the webcast, David Dechow, President of Aptura Machine Vision Solutions (Lansing, MI, USA), will focus on how such systems can be designed using off-the-shelf OEM machine vision components and custom machine-vision products.

He will also present some real-world examples showing how systems are being deployed to inspect pills, needles, blister packs, caps, and stents.

Dechow himself has worked in the field of machine vision for over 29 years as a programmer, engineer, corporate manager and entrepreneur. He has personally implemented hundreds of vision systems for companies in a variety of industries.

He is a former member of the board of directors of the Automated Imaging Association, having served for over 14 years, with two terms as president of the board.

The free one hour webcast -- Vision in Medical and Pharmaceutical Applications -- will take place on October 9, 2012 at 11:00 am Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). You can register to attend here.
