JANUARY 15, 2009--Three-dimensional scanning, quality inspection, and reverse engineering services provider 3DScanCo (Atlanta, GA, USA; www.3dscanco.com) has announced a partnership with Minneapolis-based Laser Design Inc. (LDI; www.laserdesign.com), a supplier of 3-D laser scanners. By partnering with LDI, 3DScanCo will add new 3-D laser scanners to its lineup of currently offered systems.

3DScanCo expects its in-house capabilities to improve and expand as some of the LDI scanning systems are brought in, such as the Surveyor WS-Series system and the portable Surveyor-FA (FARO Arm) scanner with an 8-in. laser line scanner for up-close scanning of large parts.

Tom O'Dea, 3DScanCo's general manager, says, "3DScanCo strives to provide premier 3-D scanning services & systems. We believe Laser Design's high-accuracy and high-speed equipment will help us continue to give customers a competitive edge in today's manufacturing world."

The company says it will provide in-house demonstrations of the new LDI scanners upon request.
