SEPTEMBER 1, 2009--Applied Vision (Akron, OH, USA; www.appliedvision.com), which supplies machine vision inspection systems for the container manufacturing industry, has signed contracts to provide systems for 11 new can manufacturing plants in 10 countries.
Each new plant will install multiple systems to inspect everything from the quality of ends to decoration accuracy. Major can manufacturers, including CanPack, Crown, Impress, and Rexam, are among the backers of the new projects located in Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East.

Applied Vision designs and manufactures application-¬specific machine vision inspection systems for packaging, food, and beverage containers and color printing. The systems are sold worldwide through OEMs, value-added resellers, full¬ service distributors, and company direct.
