MAY 31--Edmund Optics (EO; www.edmundoptics.com) has opened its newest division in Seoul, Korea, and has introduced a Korean-language version of its catalog. EO Korea will provide technical support to customers and distributors in the region, while the Korean-language catalog will showcase more than 400 new products added to Edmund's off-the-shelf inventory with technical primers translated into Korean. In addition to supporting Korean customers through the new office and catalog, EO has launched an online e-commerce Web site at www.edmundoptics.com/kr that features all 7600 products listed in the print catalog, plus an additional 400 discounted products available only via the Web.
Timothy Paul Kennedy, marketing director at EO's Singapore location, will oversee the new Korean office. Optical engineer Rhee Joon Ho will manage day-to-day operations and will be available to answer customers' technical questions and application inquiries.
EO is a manufacturer of optics, imaging, and photonics components and equipment supporting R&D, electronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biomedical, and military markets.
