MAY 14, 2007--Shearwater Technology (Littleton, MA, USA), a manufacturer of legacy embedded electronics, has acquired the image-processing and connectivity product lines of Newfound Technology.

MAY 14, 2007--Shearwater Technology (Littleton, MA, USA), a manufacturer of legacy embedded electronics, has acquired the image-processing and connectivity product lines of Newfound Technology. "We are excited to add the Datacube, Ariel, Aurora Technologies, and Netaccess product lines to our portfolio," said Joseph Rogers, president of Shearwater Technology. "This transaction will allow us to greatly expand our customer base and provide us with additional acquisition opportunities."

Shearwater Technology was formed in 1993 to assist technology developers and their OEM customers with innovative solutions to the problems presented by obsolescence in their embedded systems. Shearwater is dedicated to repairing, manufacturing, and re-engineering legacy products for the duration of their lifecycle. Products will be maintained as long as customer demand exists.
