According to Semiconductor Equipment & Materials International the June 1999 SEMI book-to-bill ratio was 1.24, down slightly from this year?s April 1.28 and May 1.25 ratios. The 1.24 ratio indicates that $124 worth of orders was booked for every $100 of semiconductor capital equipment shipped. The June 1999 bookings reached $1.45 billion?a drop of just 1.4% over the previous month but a 55% rise over the June 1998 sales of $0.93 billion. The June 1999 shipments were $1.17 billion, down from the previous month of $1.18 billion and 8% less than the June 1998 value of $1.3 billion.
