Camera fits on a chip

Claimed to be the world`s first single-chip NTSC color camera, the VV6405 integrates a 1/4-in. MOS imager, video timing controller, DSP, ADC, DAC, and NTSC composite video encoder onto a single monolithic integrated circuit. Composite NTSC color video is delivered using a single external crystal and a single rail 5-V power supply. Packaged in a 48-pin LCC, the integrated circuit draws 100 mA at 5 V.
