JANUARY 5, 2009--The Spyder3 Color camera is based on the Spyder3 monochrome models using dual-line sensor technology. The first array contains red and blue pixels, while the second array contains green pixels only. The camera offers data output options including RGB, RG/BG, or G only to meet requirements in various imaging applications. The two adjacent linear arrays have no spacing in between, eliminating spatial artifacts and resulting in high color quality, especially when capturing images of rotating or freefall objects. Other features include flat-field correction, automatic white balance- and pre-calibration with common light sources (such as white LEDs). Cameras are available in 2k and 4k resolutions with a 14 x 14-μm or 10 x 10-μm pixel size. It offers both Camera Link and GigE interfaces.

WATERLOO, ONTARIO - October 29, 2008 - DALSA Corporation (TSX: DSA), a global leader in machine vision technology, is pleased to introduce the Spyder3 Color camera to provide high color fidelity, ease of use, and affordable solutions for the fast growing color imaging market. The Spyder3 Color camera is based on DALSA's successful Spyder3 monochrome models using dual line sensor technology. The Spyder3 Color camera will be demonstrated at VISION 2008 in Stuttgart, Germany at the DALSA stand in Hall 4, Booth D 51
The Spyder3 Color camera is well-suited for food, drug, cotton, textile, wood, and tile inspection, recycle sorting, and other general machine vision applications. Combining DALSA's patented dual line scan architecture and high quality pigment color filters, the Spyder3 Color provides excellent color quality, reliability and affordability. The first array contains Red (R) and Blue (B) pixels, while the second array contains Green (G) pixels only. The camera offers various data output options, including RGB, RG/BG, or G only, to meet different requirements in a wide range of imaging applications.
