OCTOBER 2, 2009--The OptiCon TurboLine system is designed for automated optical inspection for in-line THT manufacturing. The system allows the inspection of the component side with up to 85-cm placement height. It can applied before and after the soldering process, in particular for the inspection of power assemblies (e.g., for checking polarity and electrolytic capacitors). An integrated bottom side inspection module enables simultaneous inspection of solder joints on the board bottom side without turning the PCB over. Therefore, top and bottom side inspection can be executed in one operation. A conveyor with accumulator roller principle as well as low-floor return conveyor for empty carriers is suitable for the production of large PCBs.

Unique double-sided in-line THT Inspection

GOEPEL electronic's OptiCon TurboLine is the first system that can efficiently be utilised for Automated Optical Inspection for in-line THT manufacturing.
The system allows the inspection of the component side with up to 85cm placement height. It can applied before and after the soldering process, in particular for the inspection of power assemblies, e.g. for checking polarity and electrolytic capacitors.

Because of an integrated bottom side inspection module, it is also possible to simultaneously inspect solder joints on the board bottom side without turning the PCB over. Therefore, top and bottom side inspection can be executed in one operation.

The OptiCon TurboLine provides a conveyor with accumulator roller principle as well as low-floor return conveyor for empty carriers, especially for the production of large PCBs.

The fast test program generation with the powerful and intuitive software OptiCon PILOT enables an efficient utilisation of the AOI system for THT manufacturing in very small batches or even one-offs.
