Vitrox secures contract for inspection systems

DECEMBER 14--Vitrox Corporation (Penang, Malaysia; www.vitrox.com), an automated vision inspection system manufacturer in Asia, has secured a 10-year exclusive supply contract worth RM100 million from SRM Integrated for the supply, installation, and commissioning of vision inspection systems.

DECEMBER 14--Vitrox Corporation (Penang, Malaysia; www.vitrox.com), an automated vision inspection system manufacturer in Asia, has secured a 10-year exclusive supply contract worth RM100 million from SRM Integrated for the supply, installation, and commissioning of vision inspection systems. The contract will support SRM's anticipated rapid expansion and growth in becoming a solution provider of semiconductor advanced test and inspection equipment.

A new RM1 million Vitrox Innovation Centre will boost Vitrox's production capacity by threefold and move the company one step closer toward achieving its primary vision of becoming the world's leading company in providing total machine vision solutions.

"This is consistent with our rapid expansion plan into new product development of automated optical inspection solutions and electronics communication systems to service the printed circuit board, flexicircuits, telecommunications, automotive, media storage, electronic manufacturing services, computing and automation markets," Vitrox managing director Chu Jenn Weng said.
