Edmund Optics signs alliances with Latin American distributors
Edmund Optics (Barrington, NJ, USA) has expanded its business into Latin America, covering markets in Mexico and South America. The company says this regional growth is in line with its global business strategy.
Edmund Optics has signed distribution agreements with Cidepe - Centro Industrial de Equipamentos de Ensino e Pesquisa Ltda (Canoas, Brazil) encompassing Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Columbia, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Uruguay, and Intecs Instrumentación S.A. de C.V. (Puebla, Mexico).
Both are distributors in their respective venues, and will market products in the EO catalog. Both companies will also offer technical support and conduct sales in local currency and language to their customers.
Allan Kreutzer, vice president of global sales at Edmund Optics, says, "Although we have been doing business and selling product in these areas, the time has come for us to develop a stronger presence in this growing marketplace. We are pleased to engage these two respected companies into the Edmund Optics global community and look forward to a mutually profitable relationship."
