MARCH 14--The Robotic Industries Association and Automated Imaging Association (www.machinevisiononline.org) will honor outstanding user companies during the 2005 International Robots & Vision Show in Rosemont (Chicago), IL, Sept. 27-29, 2005. This award is given every other year at the International Robots & Vision Show to honor end-user companies that have successfully applied robotics and/or machine vision to improve product quality, boost productivity, save money, and improve their competitive position.

Past winners have included Pirelli Tire, Honeywell, Pepperidge Farm, and Pioneer Hi-Bred International. In addition to their outstanding applications, these companies were chosen because of their willingness to speak publicly about what they've done and why. This is one of the main requirements of a nominee because the AIA and RIA make maximum use of these outstanding case studies to educate other potential users about the benefits of these technologies.

Nominations for the 2005 Robots & Vision User Recognition Award will be accepted through Friday, April 8, 2005. All information from the nominees will be forwarded to the panel of judges, and a winner will be selected this summer, with the award being presented at the International Robots & Vision Show in September.
