FEBRUARY 8--More than 200 suppliers to the assembly market will be demonstrating their newest products at Assembly East, which will take place May 1-2, 2002, at the Fort Washington Expo Center in Fort Washington, PA. From the most advanced robotic systems to simple hand tools, fasteners, and adhesives, attendees will have the opportunity to evaluate everything they need to reduce costs, find solutions for assembling new products, reduce cycle time, and increase capacity.

"The 2002 program will feature sessions from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers as well as the Surface Mount Technology Association and the Edison Welding Institute. This multifaceted educational experience is designed to make attendees better informed and their companies better equipped to master today's diverse assembly challenges. There are also many exciting special events, including plant tours, a free keynote address, a panel discussion on assembly cells, and a networking reception," said Kelvin Marsden-Kish, industry vice president of Reed Exhibitions (Norwalk, CT), which produces the Assembly events.
