OCTOBER 5--Braintech Inc. (North Vancouver, BC, Canada; www.braintech.com) has received additional orders from ABB Inc. (Canada) to supply multiple 3D Vision Guided Robotic (VGR) solutions for engine-parts handling. A total of 19 systems ordered are to be installed from Q4 2001 to Q1 2002 at one of North America's major automaker's assembly plants.

Braintech's VGR technologies give industrial robots the "eyes" to handle and assemble parts with a high degree of consistent quality and productivity. Braintech's scientific capabilities, engineering expertise, and commitment to support have been embedded in the company's VGR development system called eVF, which provides the means for rapid and solid application development, operation, and remote support over the Internet.
