Adobe Systems Inc. (San Jose, CA; www.adobe.com) and Digimarc Corp. (Portland, OR; www.digimarc.com) have joined the Digital Imaging Group (DIG; www.digitalimaging. org) as strategic members, bringing membership to 70 companies. The DIG consortium gives member companies the opportunity to help define the evolving technical platforms in digital imaging. It has recently unveiled the Internet Imaging Protocol JAVA-based reference server and supporting developer site. It has also appointed William Lloyd, vice president and chief technology officer of Hewlett-Packard inkjet printing solutions, and Hiroshi Ohwada, senior general manager of the international Standards planning center at Canon Inc., as cochairs of the DIG board of directors.
