Backplane permits board hot-swapping

The CompactPCI hot-swap portable tower is compatible with the IEEE 1101.10/11 packaging standards and the PICMG 2.1 CompactPCI Hot Swap specification. It contains 8 board slots for 6U x 160-mm cards. A 300-watt power supply provides ±5 V, ±12 V, and 3.3 V to the backplane. Dual-tube axial fans and air-deflecting card guides distribute cooling air evenly. Provisions are included for a CD-ROM drive, hard drive, and floppy drive; power cord and switch; and 80-mm rear plug-in modules.
