Color frame grabber outputs NTSC/PAL Featuring a color frame grabber, accelerated SVGA display controller, and NTSC/PAL video output, the Vortex PCI-based board runs under Microsoft Windows 95 and NT. For digital inputs, the board can be configured with either one or two optional digital video interfaces. These input ports, which provide data transfers to 40 Mbyte/s, support several Kodak MegaPlus cameras and the Pulnix Model TM1000. For outputs, the board uses the S3 Virge GX2 graphics-display chip to provide accelerated 2-D and 3-D graphics performance; it also supplies standard output in NTSC, PAL, and s-Video formats. Memory features include 4 Mbytes of SGRAM for display and 16 Mbytes of DRAM for image-processing functions. Prices start at $800.
