IRAF, Image Reduction and Analysis Facility, is general-purpose software for the reduction and analysis of astronomy data. Written and supported by the IRAF programming group at the National Optical Astronomy Observatories (Tucson, AZ), the software includes a selection of programs for general image processing and graphics and for reducing and analyzing optical and infrared astronomy data. IRAF also includes a programmable Command Language scripting facility, a programming interface, and a programming environment in which the IRAF applications are written. IRAF is freely available via anonymous ftp at iraf.noao.edu.
