PCI boards get a backplane Compatible with Rev. 1 of the CompactPCI specification, the CompactPCI backplane combines the Eurocard format of the VMEbus, the IEC 2-mm hard metric connector specification, and the PCI bus. A ten-layer design, the backplane features separate power and multiple ground planes. Available in a 3U and 9U configurations with 2-8 slots and an optional power connector, the 6U configuration has an optional P0 connector located in the center of the board that can be used as extended user I/O or for custom configurations.
