    PCI boards get a backplane Compatible with Rev. 1 of the CompactPCI specification, the CompactPCI backplane combines the Eurocard format of the VMEbus, the IEC 2-mm hard metric connector specification, and the PCI bus. A ten-layer design, the backplane features separate power and multiple ground planes.
