Videre: A Journal of Computer Vision Research is a new refereed, archival Internet journal of computer vision from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA). According to this MIT Web site, the quarterly journal began publication this summer. According to Chris Brown, editor, the on-line format allows the submission, distribution, and archiving of several forms of contribution that are not possible in printed form, such as reference image data, image sequences, interactive demonstrations, and source code.
