Video recording for frame grabbers A real-time video-recording system from IO Industries (London, Ontario, Canada) now supports Dipix Power Grabber boards. This allows real-time capture of uncompressed video data from a camera to the hard disk at camera frame rates. The real-time video recording system runs under Windows NT. The camera interface of the Power Grabber boards allows the system to support both analog and digital cameras. The storage capacity of the disk systems range from 8 to 72 Gbytes. With 8 Gbytes of storage space, 15.5 min of RS-170 video can be recorded. Software controls acquisition and playback and provides image-processing and image- analysis capabilities. For custom application development, a C/C++ programming library is included. Dipix Technologies, 1051 Baxter Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2C 3P1, Canada; (613) 596-4942.
