Laser sensor focuses to 0.25 mm
The PicoDot is a Class II convergent laser sensor that features a convergent point size of 0.25 mm at its focal distance. With a sensing distance of 2 to 4.5 in. and a focal distance of 4 in., the device uses fixed-field sensing technology to ensure that any object beyond the maximum sensing distance is ignored. PicoDot also features a sensor response time of 0.2 ms, allowing it to be used in high-speed applications such as semiconductor lead or pin counting. The device operates from 10 to 30 Vdc and is available with either NPN or PNP outputs. Banner Engineering, POB 9414, Minneapolis, MN 55440; (612) 544-3164; Fax: (612) 544-3213.
