Digital tape drive stores 42 Gbytes
Using the MTG-110 digital tape drive, up to 42 Gbytes of uncompressed data can be stored on a single cassette. With a sustained data transfer rate of 12 Mbytes per second over a SCSI-2 interface, the MTG-110 can store 42 Gbytes in 60 minutes. Based on Sony`s Betacam videotape recording technology, the tape drive conforms to the DTF standard and is compatible with Windows NT/95, HP/UX, AIX, IRIX, and NetWare operating systems.
