As a file-management system for VMEbus-based DSP and data-acquisition subsystems, the File Transfer Language (FTL) is a collection of software libraries for initializing, organizing, sorting, and retrieving data. FTL offers streaming support for single or multichannel ADCs and DACs, SCSI tape drives, RAM disks, I/O, host workstation file systems, and C40 comm ports. FTL runs on any TI-based C40 board that Pentek supports. Host workstations connect via Ethernet, DSP processors, and peripherals

FTL offers streaming support for single or multichannel ADCs and DACs, SCSI tape drives, RAM disks, I/O, host workstation file systems, and C40 comm ports. FTL runs on any TI-based C40 board that Pentek supports. Host workstations connect via Ethernet, DSP processors, and peripherals over the VMEbus. Support for C40 boards is provided through their comm ports, allowing a single FTL stream to be processed by several DSPs. C and SPOX programming is supported under FTL.
