To allow OEMs to customize their single-board computers with workstation I/O capabilities, the GMS V2604 Cobra is a PowerPC 604/604e VME board that consists of two assemblies: a processor module and an I/O baseboard. The V2604 processor module supports single or dual PowerPC 604/604e processors and provides 256 or 512 kbytes of L2 cache. Up to 256 Mbyte of EDO or fast-page SIMM DRAM can be added. Two PMC cards can also be added to support application-specific I/O. The processor module`s PCI bus interfaces to an I/O baseboard that provides Ultra SCSI and 100BaseT/T4 Ethernet interfacing as well as a 1280 ¥ 1024 ¥ 8-bit SVGA display. Operating-system support includes VxWorks R5.3 and the Tornado 1.0 development environment. Pricing starts at $3925 for a single 150-MHz processor configuration.
