CompactPCI backplane features eight-layer construction The low-noise 024-501 series of CompactPCI backplanes accept 6U boards. Its P1 and P2 segments provide connector keying and 64-bit addressing. Segments P3 and P4 provide user-defined inputs and outputs and long-tailed pins and shrouds. Two models offer either a front-mounted power connector for use with a pluggable power supply or rear-mounted connectors for external power-supply connections. Slot counts of two through eight as well as custom configurations to 21 slots along with mixed bus architectures are available.
