JANUARY 21--Cognex Corporation (Natick, MA), a supplier of machine-vision systems, vision sensors, and ID readers, announced a new series of free machine-vision seminars exclusively for manufacturing professionals. The popular Understanding and Applying Machine Vision Sensors half-day events show how vision sensors can be set up quickly and easily to perform automated inspection tasks in the automotive, medical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, and electronics industries.

Each seminar combines a machine-vision basics tutorial with live vision sensor demonstrations that show how to use machine vision. The tutorial covers how vision sensors work in manufacturing applications to accurately gauge, guide, identify and inspect products in order to reduce production costs, inventory problems, and achieve a high level of product quality. Checker 101, a breakthrough in presence sensing, will also be demonstrated, and one Checker vision sensor will be given away at each seminar.

The seminars run from February through June in major cities across the USA and Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. You can register for a seminar online at www.cognex.com/seminar or by calling 800-677-2646.
