JUNE 20--PPT VISION (Minneapolis, MN) has entered into a new OEM supply agreement with Automated Assemblies Corporation (AAC; Clinton, MA), a supplier of automation and robotics solutions for the plastics industry. PPT VISION is supplying AAC with its IMPACT T-series intelligent camera hardware and its Inspection Builder machine-vision software for integration into AAC's RAPTOR line of robotic and automation systems.
The IMPACT hardware and Inspection Builder software is being supplied to AAC on a private-label OEM basis and is tightly integrated within AAC's Linux-based RAPTOR machine-control software. The IMPACT units perform a variety of inspection, measurement, and guidance tasks on plastic components while being handled by AAC's robotic and automation systems.
