Area sensor is multipurpose

Pictor S24 area sensor can be used everywhere that automatic assembly, conveying, sorting, or packaging takes place. Area sensors evaluate by comparison with a 'taught-in' area and with the tolerances set. A special feature is the ability to switch between incident and transmitted lighting. The pictor S24 area sensor is available in three versions with differing fields of view and working distances. The integration of the effective pictor Machine Vision library ensures short cycle times with part throughputs of up to 900 parts per minute. The CCD image sensor can also discriminate between smaller object details and automatically compensates for variations in brightness.
