Edixia acquires Falcon-Vision

JULY 20--Machine vision supplier Edixia (Vern sur Seiche, France;www.edixia.com) has acquired Falcon-Vision (Budapest, Hungary; www.falcon-vision.com). Edixia, which operates mainly France, says that the move will help it to expand further into the European market place, especially in the automotive, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

According to Edixia, real synergies exist between the two companies' product ranges. For example, Falcon-Vision's Qualiline-C system complements the surface inspection systems developed by Edixia for use in the casting industry.

Falcon-Vision was established during 1996. It has 33 employees and its turnover reaches euro 2.5 million. Edixia employs 83 people and posted turnover of euro 10.8 millions in 2004.
