Vision Show West set for San Jose Convention Center
MAY 16--North America's largest machine-vision trade show will be held at the San Jose McEnry Convention Center (San Jose, CA), Tuesday through Thursday, May 17 to 19. Some 100 leading global suppliers of machine-vision technology will exhibit their latest products at the show, which is expected to attract 2000 participants. In-depth tutorials and conference sessions begin Monday morning and also run through Thursday.
Says Jeff Burnstein, executive director of the Automated Imaging Association (AIA), the trade group sponsoring Vision West, "As companies in every industry seek to make higher-quality products at lower cost, automation technologies such as machine vision become more in demand." "We're seeing strong growth in the use of vision, and we expect that to continue as more companies learn about the benefits of this technology. The Vision West trade show and conference is one of our key activities to educate potential users, along with our Machine Vision Online Web site (www.machinevisiononline.org), which features articles, case studies, technical papers, and free resources for companies interested in applying machine vision."
The trade show is open to people at least 18 years of age and is free to preregistrants, $30 on-site without a free ticket. Free tickets are available by contacting AIA Headquarters in Ann Arbor, MI (800/994-6099) or online. Conference fees range from $175 for a single session to $825 for a four-day conference pass.
