AUGUST 27--Intel Corporation (Santa Clara, CA; www.intel.com) has introduced new versions of the Intel Pentium 4 processor. At speeds now up to 2.8 GHz, the new processors allow consumers to enjoy a richer PC experience with broadband audio and video content, games, music, photos, and movies. In business, high-performance PCs can help maximize productivity in multitasking environments.

"The latest Pentium 4 processors, when combined with Intel's newest chipsets and the latest operating systems, make computers higher performing and more capable," said Louis Burns, vice president and general manager of Intel's Desktop Platforms Group. "A consumer can scan photos three times faster and edit photos more than four times faster than they can with an older computer."
