Fairchild Semiconductor appoints Bill Hall vice president of corporate marketing

JULY 29--Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME; www.fairchildsemi.com) has appointed Bill Hall to vice president of corporate marketing, charged with leading the company's unified global marketing strategy across all product lines.

JULY 29--Fairchild Semiconductor International (South Portland, ME; www.fairchildsemi.com), global supplier of high-performance power products for multiple end markets, has appointed Bill Hall to vice president of corporate marketing, charged with leading the company's unified global marketing strategy across all product lines. Bill will report directly to Hans Wildenberg, Fairchild's executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.

Hall has more than 29 years experience in the electronics field. He has held numerous management positions in engineering, marketing, and product line assignments at companies including Arrow Electronics, National Semiconductor, and Fairchild Semiconductor.

Bill joined Fairchild Semiconductor when the company was established in 1997, most recently serving as vice president of marketing for Fairchild's Interface and Logic Division, where he was instrumental in transforming the Standard Logic Group into the Interface and Logic business. While directing the division's marketing efforts, Bill helped grow annual revenues generated by new products from 5% to more than 40%, drove the development and implementation of the company's cross-divisional pricing strategy program, and led one of Fairchild's e-business efforts to develop market intelligence and decision support tools.
