Motorola names Mike Zafirovski president and COO

JULY 26--Motorola Inc. (Schaumburg, IL; www.motorola.com), leader in providing integrated communications and embedded electronic solutions, has appointed Mike Zafirovski, currently executive vice president and president of Motorola's personal communications sector, as its new president and chief operating officer (COO). Zafirovski was elected at a special meeting of the Motorola board of directors.

Zafirovski will also continue as president of Motorola's personal communications sector until a successor is named.
