MARCH 26--With the growing global economy and the Internet allowing businesses worldwide to communicate and find information in a timely manner, Ircon Inc. (Niles, IL), a manufacturer of thermal imaging systems, infrared temperature sensors, and line-scanning thermometers, has improved its international presence by adding international language capability to its Web site and additional staff in Asia and Europe.
This four-week task involved the translation of various Ircon Web pages into seven languages (Korean, Japanese, French, German, Chinese, Spanish, and Italian). Due to the technical nature of Ircon's noncontact sensors, having Web pages in the native language of the visitor will greatly add to the understanding of how these instruments work. Ircon's international pages were added into its existing Web site: www.Ircon.com.
The second addition to international presence was an increase in employees in the field. Currently, Ircon has multiple offices in Asia and Europe. Chris Lu was added as a regional sales manager in Shanghai, China, to promote sales and service in southern China. In Northern Europe, Peter Goebel was brought on as a regional sales manager to work with customers in the Benelux nations.
