NOVEMBER 4--DVT Corporation (Duluth, GA;www.dvtsensors.com) will private-label CTC Parker InteractX HMI software. This agreement enables DVT to give users an integrated vision and HMI software product, which will significantly reduce cost, design and integration, and maintenance. "The integration of DVT vision products and CTC's InteractX software will provide a real value to integrators and end users, increasing functionality and reducing setup time," commented DVT director of OEM business development Brad Steinke.

DVT has also announced a strategic partnership with Phoenix Contact Inc. Phoenix Contact will brand-label a power supply and an Ethernet I/O assembly to be used with DVT's Legend SmartImage vision systems. "This is another important step in providing our customers a complete machine-vision solution," said Jim Jordan, DVT director of operations. "As we look to form partnerships with companies like Phoenix Contact, we pledge to keep customer satisfaction as our top priority."

Phoenix Contact will provide an industrial-strength, DIN rail-mountable power supply that features a reliable, easy-to-assemble connection method to enable a quick connection of devices. The preassembled I/O rail assembly has Ethernet Modbus/TCP protocol with eight built-in digital inputs and eight digital outputs. The I/O board features advanced diagnostics for camera power and an integrated Dsub breakout module.

DVT Corporation has announced yet another cooperative agreement with ICONICS (www.iconics.com) for the development of an OPC server for DVT products. "OPC is the fastest-growing standard for the exchange of real-time manufacturing and process control data. This cooperative agreement with ICONICS opens the OPC world to DVT," said Bob Settle, DVT director of marketing. "Our customers will benefit by the ability to bypass custom interfaces and drivers through the use of OPC. When our customers win, we all win." The cooperative agreement also includes DVT and ICONICS working together on coordinated marketing programs, Settle noted.
