Six additions to UKIVA membership list

OCTOBER 30--Six companies have recently joined the UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA). Amber Optix, Loop Technology Ltd., Phasor Ltd., Photon Lines, and Vacuumatic UK have become 'regular' members, and Vision & Control GmbH has joined as a 'world' member. UKIVA director Don Braggins comments: "We are delighted to welcome these new members, and they perfectly encapsulate the breadth of companies that make up the UKIVA membership base. These range from the production of turnkey vision systems through to the sale of components for vision systems, and all points between. The wide range of markets in which our new members are involved also reflects the growing use of vision technology across manufacturing industry. These industries include automotive, print, packaging, optical (contact lenses), biomedical, military, semiconductor, polymer, plastics, and pharmaceutical."

The new members will enjoy many benefits from being part of the UKIVA, whose sole objective is to promote the use of vision in manufacturing industry. These include visibility on the UKIVA Web site, which now attracts more than 4000 visitors a month, and other enhanced marketing opportunities, such as participation in UKIVA seminars, inclusion in the UKIVA newsletter, and a regular supply of information on promotional opportunities in the trade and technical press.

In addition, the association is closely involved with the vision marketplace throughout the world and is rapidly becoming recognized as the first port of call for vision-related enquiries. It offers free advice via phone or e-mail to inquirers--wherever they are in the world--seeking help in specifying or sourcing vision systems or components.
