OCTOBER 27--Indigo Systems (www.indigosystems.com) has announced the expansion of its headquarters to a larger facility in the same business park complex in Goleta, CA. This is the second move to larger headquarters in the last 15 months and marks the fourth major expansion for Indigo Systems in the past six years. The new 86,246-sq ft corporate offices' sublease runs through April 30, 2010. This space combines with two other area facilities, Indigo's detector operations plant and the manufacturing facility, to house 210 employees.

Indigo Systems' move to the new building coincides with the October 22, 2003, announcement of a merger agreement with FLIR Systems Inc. of Portland, OR. FLIR's acquisition of Indigo Systems Corporation, valued at $190 million, is expected to close in early 2004. Notes Indigo Systems' president and CEO, E. Tim Fitzgibbons, "Indigo and FLIR have highly complementary strengths, products, and market access. This is an ideal marriage for the two companies."

Indigo Systems will remain in the Santa Barbara, CA, area and continue its design, engineering, and manufacturing activities of advanced technology infrared products.
