APRIL 1--Datacube Inc. (Danvers, MA; www.datacube.com), a supplier of high-performance image-processing hardware, software, and systems, has sold its MaxVideo 10/20/200/250 business to Newfound Technology Corp. (Littleton, MA; www.newfoundtech.com), a firm specializing in the acquisition of technology and manufacturing rights of embedded products. Newfound Technology has purchased all of the business, assets, and intellectual property associated with Datacube's VME-based MaxVideo 10/20/200/250 product line. Datacube will continue to receive royalties from future sales of all MaxVideo products.

"The sale of our MaxVideo VME-based product line helps free us to focus our resources on our core FPGA-based image processing product family for PCIbus--the MaxRevolution," said Stan Karandanis, president and chief executive officer of Datacube. "With more than 70 new design-ins for our new MaxRevolution product in 2002, we will be busy tending to the needs of our new customers as they begin to take volume shipments of this product."

Added Richard Dellacanonica, president of Newfound Technology, "We are excited about the opportunity to continue serving Datacube's customers with MaxVideo products. As with all of our acquisitions, Newfound Technology will continue to provide complete sales, service, technical, and engineering support for MaxVideo products."
