APRIL 14--Braintech Inc. (North Vancouver, BC, Canada; www.braintech.com) has received orders from Delphi Corp. (Troy, MI; www.delphi.com), an automotive-parts supplier, for an ABB/Braintech Vision Guided Robotics (VGR) system. The system comprises an ABB robot and a Braintech VGR software platform for the picking and assembly of axle brake parts. The system features Braintech's proprietary Xi2D guidance technology and is controlled by Braintech's "open standards" VGR platform, eVisionFactory (eVF).

Owen Jones, CEO of Braintech, noted, "We are continuing to expand our business with ABB (ATRM Robot Automation, a division of ABB Inc.; Brampton, ON, Canada; www.abb.com) and see this order with Delphi as an indication of the rising demand for VGR."
