Inovec announces $1.1 million in orders
SEPTEMBER 7--InVision Technologies Inc. (Newark, CA; www.invision-tech.com) announced that its Inovec subsidiary has received approximately $1.1 million in new orders that include its newly introduced ContourScan 3-D Log Scanning System, which utilizes a new sensor technology that provides scanning capability for both extended-length and short-coupled log infeed designs. The customer, Seattle Snohomish Mill Co. (Snohomish, WA), also purchased an Inovec CantMaster Gang Edger Optimizer. Inovec also sold two of its new StereoScan headrig scanning systems, one each to Canyon Lumber Co. (Everett, WA) and Ashton Lewis Lumber Co. (Gatesville, NC).
A wholly owned subsidiary of InVision, Inovec develops, manufactures, markets and supports scanning, optimization, and control systems for the forest-products industry worldwide. Today, more than 600 systems have been installed in mills worldwide to produce more lumber from each log and to control product quality.
