After announcing the launch of the new Goldeye infrared camera late last year, Allied Vision Technologies has officially launched the camera, with shipments now in progress. Like its predecessor, the new model of the Goldeye is a short-wave infrared model (with sensitivity between 900 and 1,700 nm wavelengths.) The camera features rugged hardware for machine vision applications and a screwed interface port for secure connection. It also features a GigE Vision-compliant interface with support for Power over Ethernet and can be fitted with filters and lenses for C-, F-, and M42-Mounts. In addition, the camera features a 12-pin Hirose I/O port, which enables users to trigger and synchronize with other system components. The first model, the G-032 features a VGA InGaAs sensor (636 x 508 pixels with 25µm² pixel pitch) and frame rates up to 100 fps, with more models are set to be added in the coming months.
