JUNE 16, 2009-- Linos (Göttingen, Germany; www.linos.de), a member of the Qioptiq Group, has entered into an agency agreement with Optical Coatings Japan (OCJ; Tokyo, Japan; www.ocj.co.jp./english/) to represent the photonics company and its range of products and optical solutions in Japan.
Following a research campaign to evaluate the market potential of the country, Qioptiq, through Linos, decided to expand its presence in the region.
In full cooperation with OCJ, Linos has established a trusted partnership culminating in the signing of a formal agency agreement, in which OCJ will act as agent for Linos in Japan.
"Asia in general and especially Japan is one of the biggest markets for photonic products. In order to achieve success here we need a well-established and trusted Japanese partner," says Volker Brockmeyer, CEO of LINOS. "We have identified key market segments where we see considerable potential for Linos.
