• Finding the perfect suit

    May 8, 2013

Interested in buying a custom suit but don’t want to pay the price? Or maybe you are just uncomfortable with the up-close-and-personal nature of the measurement process? The Arden Reed mobile “Tailor Truck” aims to address those issues.

The “Tailor Truck” is a mobile suit store that uses 3D scanning to create custom-designed suits made to fit specific body types. The 3D scanning technology is powered by 14 sensors in 6 angles and 7 different heights. It takes a 1.5 million-point full-body scan, enabling it to obtain accurate measurements to the scale of millimeters. The body scan is then overlaid with a CAD design of the suit to ensure a good fit.
