JULY 13, 2007--Cedip Infrared Systems (Croissy Beaubourg, France; www.cedip-infrared.com), has been retained as a partner of the SYSTEM@TIC PARIS-REGION competitiveness cluster (www.systematic-paris-region.org) to develop innovative thermal imaging sensors.

The goal of the cluster is to develop complex systems and key technologies in optics, electronics, and software, and to implement these systems in four growing target markets: Security & Defence, Telecommunications, Automotive & Transportation, and System Design & Development Tools. The SYSTEM@TIC PARIS-REGION Cluster unites over 200 industrial, academic, and institutional members from the Paris region that work in partnership on R&D projects.

The contract signed with Cedip falls within the framework of Defence and Security, which is intended to develop and supply military grade cameras and systems in partnership with large defence and security industrial organizations and research groups. As a partner, Cedip will design and bring to market new thermal imaging sensors. The project should begin in Q4 2007.
