Machine vision lights especially designed for tasks such as edge detection, part location and identification.
Jan. 7, 2025

Advanced  Illumination recently launched the BX2 series, a new line of high intensity edge-lit back lights. These lights, which are more than twice as bright as previous BX and CX model lights, are designed to allow for configuration with polarization or collimation. They produce white, 455 nm, 470 nm, 505 nm, 530 nm, 590 nm, 625 nm, 660 nm, 730 nm, 850 nm, and 940 nm wavelengths. They emit light at 25 mm increments, from 50-600 mm, for length and width.

Individual BX2 lighting units have a scalable, extrusion-based anodized aluminum housing with an acrylic window and come standard with an M6 mounting nut channel. They have a footprint of 300 x 300 mm, weigh 2.14 kg, and are rated IP50. These lights are especially designed for such machine vision tasks as edge detection, part location, orientation, and identification, presence and  absence, and object gauging.
